| Datca is a district, as well as the center town of that district, in Mugla
Province of Turkey. It is situated midway through the
Datca
Peninsula
, almost 100 km (62 miles) in length, following the
ondulations of small bays and coves all along, and practically an
island since it is connected to the mainland through an isthmus of
only several hundred meters in width. At the very tip of the
peninsula is the antique city of
Knidos
(at the locality called Tekir today).Datca is
covered with pine,
almond, olive and citrus trees and it is ranked as the second in
the world among the places with the highest rate of oxygen. With
its almost zero humidity, it has always been the choice for
healthy living and for relieving stress. During the summer, the
average temperature is 35 degrees Celcius; yet the Northern
breezes with no humidity cools the area and allows you to enjoy
swimming, surfing, diving and boat cruising any time of the day.
Sun shines in Datca almost every day of the year and its
historical sights, untouched beaches and delicious local tastes
wait to be discovered whenever you want to take a break off. Let
the healing powers of Datca to take care of you! |
